|
| Latin Name: |
Chionoecetes bairdi |
| Geographic Range: |
Ranges form the Bering Sea to Oregon |
| SCUBA Divers Info: |
| You can identify this crab by it's long legs rounded carapace and small claws. I usually see this crab in the spring on night dives over sand or mud bottoms. It seems to come up to breed at this time since I usually see a male holding on to a smaller female. |
Beachwalkers Info: |
| This animal does not inhabit the intertidal zone so you are very unlikely to find it beachwalking or tidepooling. |
