Latin Name: Gorgonocephalus eucnemis
Geographic Range: Range is circumpolar to southern California
SCUBA Divers Info:
This is an easy to identify brittle star. The many branching arms are used to trap small food items. Because of this feeding technique this animal is found in high current areas. A big specimen might be 8 to 12 inches across.
**B**Beachwalkers Info:
This animal does not usually inhabit the intertidal zone so you are very unlikely to find it beachwalking or tidepooling.
