A striking member of the arthropods this shrimp is found in commensal relationship with the crimson anemone (and occasionally the metridium). A very colourful animal that makes a great photo subject. It should not be confused with kincaids commensal shrimp that also live around the crimson anemone.

This animal does not usually inhabit the intertidal zone so you are very unlikely to find it beachwalking or tidepooling.
