| Daisy brittle star |
 |
| Latin Name: |
Ophiopholis aculeata |
| Geographic Range: |
The only information I can find on the range of this animal is one note that says "found worlod wide" but I don't know if that is the genus or the species. |
| SCUBA Divers Info: |
| Colour is red to orange but the whole animal is rarely seen, you are more likely to see arms poking out of crevices in the rock. This star eats detritus or filter feeds. Usually found in moderate to high current areas. |
Beachwalkers Info: |
| This animal does not usually inhabit the intertidal zone so you are very unlikely to find it beachwalking or tidepooling. |
| Echinoderm |
