Latin Name: Rhinolithodes wosnessenskii
Geographic Range: Range is from Alaska to California
SCUBA Divers Info:
Being a lithode crab this crab only has 3 pairs of walking legs plus claws. It's walking legs are thickly spiked (or furred) and the carapace has deep indentations. It is usually found in crevices but may come out especially at night. I've heard this crab called scarce, I don't think it is I see it with reasonable frequency.
**B**Beachwalkers Info:
This animal does not usually inhabit the intertidal zone so you are very unlikely to find it beachwalking or tidepooling.
