 |
| Latin Name: |
Scyra acutifrons |
| Geographic Range: |
Range is Alaska to Mexico |
| SCUBA Divers Info: |
| This is a reasonably common crab especially around docks, breakwaters and pilings. Adult males have large claws that they seem to keep folded in. Also the rostrum (nose) is flat and pointed. For reasons unknown to me these crabs shells are often covered with barnacles and other growth (more so than other crabs) |
Beachwalkers Info: |
| It may be possible to see this animal form a dock. |
