Rendezvous is a long established charter operating in Barkley Sound on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The diving is "relatively" current free but is effected by ocean surge since many of the dives are exposed to pacific swells. From their home base in Rainy Bay Dave and Renate Christie run a very nice operation. Don't think you can just call them up and go diving, they are often booked over a year in advance. This is a testament to the quality of their operation. Accommodations are in and "A" frame lodge complete with outdoor hot tub. The food is at least as good as the diving and no one goes away hungry.

One of the big attractions in Barkley Sound is the possibility of seeing Sixgill sharks, this large deepwater shark for unknown reasons is often found shallow here particularly at a site called Tyler Rock. The summer months seem to be the time when you have the best chance of seeing this animal but it is possible all year.

Also of note are dive sites like Renate's Reef, Hornby Rocks and the Wreck of the Vanlene.
