A Short Biography

 

Born: Vancouver, British Columbia

Early sports activity: Kevin played hockey in North Vancouver and New Westminster up to the Midget 'A' level. At this age, having been inspired by the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Pumping Iron, he had already become a weight training enthusiast.

Bodybuilding

  • 1992: Kevin won the Gator's Classic Middleweight Championship, and tied for Overall Champion.
  • 1994: Kevin was the B.C. Light-Heavyweight Winner. (He lost out as the overall winner due to a scoring error.)
  • 1995: Kevin was the Western Canadian Light Heavyweight winner and Overall Champion.
  • 1996: North American Light Heavyweight Champion.

With the wins in '95 and '96, Kevin became the second man to win both the Overall Western Canadian Championship and a weight class in the North American Championships. The only other bodybuilder to manage this feat was Frank Cavaleri, who completed the pair in 1992 by winning his weight class in the North American Championships.

Kevin Started training with Gibson Pankration/Kickboxing in 1998, and placed first in his class in the 1999 Fireball Challenge (formerly "the B.C's") in Submission Wrestling.

Kevin is an N.S.C.A. Certified Personal Trainer. This certificate, along with the C.S.C.S., is the only credential to have been accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (N.C.C.A.), Washington, DC.
