The British Ex-Servicemen's Club is located in the heart of East Vancouver on Kingsway just west of Knight Street.This quaint British style club boasts a fine selection of European and domestic beers and spirits at a reasonable price. Enjoy a drink on the outdoor deck or watch sports on one of five televisions. We carry weekend soccer games on satellite. For those looking for a bit more activity there is a pool table and four dart boards. The club also sponsors dart teams, golf tournaments, dances, meat draws and many special events. This is a member's club but visitors are welcome. |

This is a fun event ... you don't need a low handicap, you don't even need to know what a handicap is. All you need is a set of clubs and the desire to have a good time. The British Ex-Servicemen's Association is sad to announce the passing of Comrade Sue Erickson on Thursday April 23rd. A Celebration of Life will be held at the club on May 16th at 2:00 pm.Free Pool WednesdaysThe pool table at the British Ex only costs 50 cents a game. But on Wednesdays the club offers free pool. You can't beat the price, can you beat the competition?Meat DrawsThe British Ex has Meat Draws every Friday and Saturday night, starting a 5:00 pm and running until 6:30. |
International Memorial DayCome participate at the International Memorial Day parade and ceremony. It will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009. We will be meeting at the Mountainview Cemetery, 5455 Fraser Street, Vancouver. Fall-in is at 2:00 pm and march-off is at 2:20 pm. no charge. There will be a $5 cover charge for non-members, that will be collected at the door. On Saturday, May 23rd a Spring Fling Dance will be held. The music will be served up by our own DJ Mike. The event runs from 9:00 to 1:00 am. Dance to Nasty Habits on June 19th and 20th, Friday and Saturday. Nasty Habits is the ultimate cover band for British 60's Rock. The musicianship and harmonies can't be beat.
St George's Day DanceOn April 18th the British Ex held a St George's Day Dance. The night started off with the breaking of a dragon pinata. Through the generosity of our members $150 in donations were collected for the Variety Club. We also paid tribute to Diane Walker and Joyce Townsend, who celebrated their birthdays.
