John Ernest GIBSON

It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of GIBBY after a long courageous fight with cancer on March 30, 2007 at St. Paul's Hospital with his partner of 23 years (Patty) at his side. John was an executive member of the British Ex-Servicemen's Association, where he never hesitated to volunteer his time and energy to help others. Also a member of ANAF Unit 26, Vancouver Poppy Fund and Veterans Memorial. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Paul's Hospital - 1OD, the South Vancouver Community Health Nurses and staff at the Cancer Society for their loving care and compassion. No service by request. A celebration of life to be held at the British EX, 1143 Kingsway on April 15th at 1 :00 pm. Donations to the Cancer Society in John's memory would be appreciated.
