The standard poodle has a long history in his service to mankind.It has been claimed that the poodle was depicted on roman coins and sculpture as early as AD 14, although there does not seem to be hard evidence to substantiate this.Without doubt the poodle has been noted for his sporting and especially his water fowling abilities.For a complete and very comprehensive history of this breed please visit the Poodle History Project (see link below).
Our standards compete in conformation, obedience and agility. They work, play and live with us.
All breeding stock is health tested for Hip Dysplasia, Sebaceous Adenitis, von Willebrands Disease, inherited eye disorders, and blood checked for Addison’s disease and thyroid problems.All breeding stock is registered with CHIC. Puppies are raised in the house and socialized with children, other dogs, cats, and anything else we can think of!!! Puppies are temperament tested at seven weeks. Puppies do not leave for their new homes until they are ten weeks old.
We do not breed on a regular basis, only when we have good, loving homes waiting and are interested in the possibility of another puppy for ourselves.
