New to us, The following is taken from the Vesey's Seed catalogue:
A really unique heirloom tomato, with incredible flavour and colour. Chocolate Cherry produces very deep purple cherry tomatoes on a large indeterminate plant. Very sweet with exceptional tomato flavour, this variety really stood out in our trials.

We planted these for the first time in 2006 and were very pleased with these wonderful cherry tomatoes that turned out to be almost orange, firm, and very sweet.  When the seed catalogue said vigorous vines they meant it!  We hacked them back when they were beyond our reach but they continued to produce very tasty tomatoes into late October.

This variety replaces Sweet Million in our greenhouse because the plants are much more compact and the fruit is less prone to cracking.  Best Cherry Tomato at the 2005 Comox Valley Fall Fair and in 2006 it was not only the Best Cherry Tomato, but also the Best Tasting Tomato at the fall fair.

We grow this sweet, firm, grape tomato for ourselves each year.  There are a few plants available for sale, but because the seeds are so expensive, we have to charge $6.00 per plant.
