We
saved seeds from our largest tomato in 2005 and we called the
tomatoes grown from those seeds Len's Prize. This hefty
"Sicilian Saucer" easily won the Largest Tomato award at the 2005
Comox Valley Exhibition (Fall Fair). It weighed in at 3.67 lbs.
We did it again! In 2006 the selected seed from the big tomato pictured at the right produced a whopper. After winning the heaviest tomato at the Comox Valley Exhibition, we took our big tomato down to the Saanich Fall Fair where it won with an official weight of 4.9 lbs.
We specialize in tomato plants, and a full list of this year's varieties is on a separate page which you can find by clicking on the following link: Tomato Chart.
As well as tomatoes, we will have some dahlia plants available in our greenhouse, please inquire by telephone or email if you are interested.Dahlias

Last
year we did not grow dahlias and we missed the colour in the greenhouse
and around the house. We will have our old standards:
Figaro (a dwarf) and Showpiece (larger flower on 3' to 4' plant)
as well as a couple of new varieties that we are quite excited about:
Harlequin (a dwarf) and Bishop's Children described in the seed
catalogue as:
Hot Neon Blooms Against Black Foliage!
3- to 4-inch blooms in 5 bright colors, many striped and shaded, in both single to semi-double peony-flowered shape! or
How could we resist?
Good luck with your plants and we hope you have a successful growing season.Len and Joan
