Sammy the Cat
Back in April, we happened to be driving by the Burnaby SPCA during animal viewing hours. We decided to stop in to see the dogs and cats, and as we walked in, Fred said to me "you don't expect to walk out with an animal today, right?". "Of course", I uttered, not meaning a word of it.
We went in and spent about an hour playing with all the cats, and this adorable one just cried out to be taken home. Of course, we were not at all prepared for a cat, so we had to leave her at the SPCA while we went to the pet store to buy everything a cat requires. Which was a bit difficult since neither one of us had ever owned a cat and didn't have any idea what to get. Anyhow, we figured it out, and within a couple hours, were introducing Sammy to her new home. Here are a few of our favorite pictures of her.
And why did we call her Sammy? She is named after the middle-aged, bald, Jewish man who owns the hostel in Sydney where we met.
