Yong Meng Jong Jin

When: Friday June 22nd, 2007. Starts at 9:30 AM. Until Sunday June 24th at noon. Followed by precepts ceremony and informal get together.

Location: Korean Buddhist Society at  14069 104th Ave.

Cost: A donation of 50$ per day (friday/satruday) 30$ for sunday is suggested. The proceeds will help cover the cost of organizing the retreat and help support the group's ongoing activities.

What: Yong Maeng Jong Jin is the Korean name for a short intensive meditation retreat. The literal meaning of the words is "to leap like a tiger while sitting".

A YMJJ is an excellent opportunity to get a glimpse into our true nature and to clear our mind of habitual thinking.  It also generates energy for sustained practice in our daily lives.

The retreat will include practice of chanting, prostrations walking and sitting meditation. We will be observing silence throughout the retreat. Participants will also take part in a one-on-one Kong-An interview with the teacher each day.

Participation for only one instead of two days is also possible.
