Things To Do In And Around Pemberton

JOFFRE LAKES: Spectacular glacier lakes the colour of the famous Lake Louise but without a zillion tourists. An easy 3 minute walk to first lake, but the other two are a good 1.5 to 2.5 hours hike. The top lake is worth the effort for the view of the spectacular Joffre Glacier. If you are ambitious you can continue to hike right up to the glacier.

NAIRN FALLS: Just before coming into Pemberton are these awesome and powerful falls. The trail to the falls is about a 20 min walk from the parking lot or you can hike there on a trail from One Mile Lake Park in Pemberton.

STRAWBERRY POINT: A beautiful sandy beach surrounded by mountains on the gorgeous Lillooet Lake. Although glacier-fed, the aquamarine waters looks almost tropical and the surface warms up enough for swimming. The beach is an easy 3-5 minute hike down from the parking lot. Walk along the beach and find a nice spot to spend the day.

MOUNTAIN BIKING: Pemberton's mountain bike trails are famous and have been featured in Bike Magazine among others. This is advanced riding at its best. For cruisers or road cyclists, Pemberton offers easy valley trails and scenic farm roads like the Meadows Road... route of the Pemberton Slow Food Cycle event.

FISHING: There are so many great lakes, rivers, and streams to fish in the Pemberton area. Ivan Knowles is the owner of Spud Valley Sporting Goods and has offered our guests free fishing gear rentals. He can set you up with a fishing license and point you to all the best fishing spots.

NORTH ARM FARM: This place is fun for the whole family with farm animals that you can feed, fresh produce, U-pick berries, flowers, and baked goodies. Walk around the farm and explore. Beautiful river beach on the far end.

HORSEBACK RIDING: Pemberton is a horse town and it is not uncommon to see folks on horseback clippity-clopping through the village, or horses parked outside local hangouts like the Pony Espresso. There are numerous horseback riding companies to choose from that can take you to explore the area on horseback. Giddy Up.

PARAGLIDING: Pemberton is famous for its thermal winds, and a great way to experience the Pemberton Valley is from the sky. Tandem flights available through Fly by Kite.

GLIDING: If paragliding is a bit extreme for you, you can take a glider flight and soar on silent wings over mountains, glaciers, and the Pemberton Ice Fields through the Pemberton Soaring Center.

WHITE WATER RAFTING: The Pemberton Adventure Ranch does whitewater river rafting tours as well as jet boating, and horseback riding.

GOLFING: Pemberton has two spectacular golf courses to choose from... Big Sky Golf and Country Club, and The Meadows.

SKIING: Of course, we are only 30 minutes away from the world famous ski resort Whistler. With two awesome mountains to chose from, this is skiing at its best.

SNOWMOBILING: The Pemberton area is famous for it's snowmobiling access to high alpine terrain. Heli-sledding tours also available with Tracker Adventures.

HELI-SKIING: The ultimate in powder skiing. Coast Range Heli-ski runs right out of the Pemberton Heli-port.

BACKCOUNTRY: Pemberton is Whistler's backcountry. Ski touring or snowshoeing with no lift lines, crowds, or noisy machines. Visit the Pemberton Bike Co in town for more info & rentals.
