49 Malew 1637 Jo: Shimmin departed ys life ye 14th of October intestat ye Church having intelligence therof hath decreed his only sister Administrator who is at lawfull yeares & a legasy to his wife upon ye sight of Inventory. Salvo tamen vincing, Sui iure. Decretum est et Solvit. The 18th of 8tober 1637 An Inventory of the goods of John Shimmin priced by four sufficient men vidz Thomas Bridson, Tho: Shimmin, John Bell & Nicholas Quiggin as followeth: Imprimis one cow, one mayre & a follower 2pounds; It, two blandest priced unto 8s; It, half a chist half a table & a cobe 16d; It, half a pott & half sword 2s; It, 19 betwixt thee yearlings & lambs 2ts; It, Laid out for ground 22s; It, a house & a little crost of 1d rend & a parcel of ground of 2d rent; It: a parcel of Demaine Land of 3d rent; It, in the hand of Tho: Bridson in money 5s; It: in the hands of Margret Chew[?] in money 3s. The Court hath in discretion given unto his wife a legasy vid: ye benefit of that parcel of land wch was divised unto ye said John Shimmin from Robt Xtin, during the yeares expressed in the Covenant & the decedents part of the corne wholly & 5s ad pies usus. The exec: are at lawfull yeares & have bound themselves to keepe the office harmless subpoena ys Inventory. Jo: Shimmin ye 24th of January entereth his claim agt the execrs of John Shimin for 37s of money & two boules of barley
