78 Patricke, March the 9th 1636 In nominee die amen. I John Quirke sicke of body but whole of mind & perfect memory make my last will & testament in forme as followeth. Imprimis I commit my soule to God & my body to the grave. It, I leave to the poore a boule of corne & one sheepe. It, I leave to my wife Jony Killy half a heifer 4 year ould. It, to my grandchild Jony Quirke one yearling. It, I constitute & ordaine my two children John & Tho: Quirke junior my true & lawfull executr of all my goods moveable & unmoveable. It, to my daughter Isabel Quirke 2 sheep; & her choice of 2 cowes & a heifer of her mothers goods wch was in my custody. It, I appoint my eldest son & my wife Supervisors & to see all things in this my will fulfilled. Witnesses: John Harison, Tho: Ratliffe, Richard Quirke, jurati. Probat et Solvit 12d. The overseers sworne to bring in a true Inventory wthin 14 dayes & served[?]. Inprimis half maire 6 yeare ould 11s; It, one oxe 6 yeare ould 34s; It, a couple of sheep & 2 lambes 2s 6d; It, 1 bankett & 1 sheete 6s; It, wooden vessels priced to 2s; It, the 4th part of the crope of corne is yet to be added looke in the leafes side ------. Bounds for ye half cropes of -----. Precers: Tho: Rafliffe, Wm Quirke, Tho: Crellin, Rich: Quirke. This invent satisfied as appears. Isabell Quirke ye 23 of October entereth her claime against ye executrs of Jo: Quirk for 1 boule of barley 5 kitchans of wheate, 8 stockes of oats 4s in money 1 mutton & 1 sheepe, wch was due unto her by the death of her brother Hugh Carran & left in custody of her father Jo: Quirk. The side afore-----. [This part has been x’ed out:] Note yt out of ye 4th pt ye Cropes of ---riten of is due to Jo: Quirke his execrs in there brother Tho: Quirke hand; is to be deducted 1 boule betwixt barleye & wheate ------- given at hallowtide to the poore; to his daughter Isabell Quirke 3 firletts of barley & ---- [?wheate] wch was left her by her mother; to Rich:[?--ch] Quirke half firlett half pecke of barley more 5s to Donald Tagart more Finloe Shimine 2, more to Wm Quarter[?] 6d. To Phillip Kelly 6d. To Quirke -------- peck of barley. More for ye rent 6d. of ye ould yeare, & 10s for ye newe yeare, all wch is to be deducted out of ye Inventory. Tho: Crellin who is maryed to ye wife of ye said Jo: Quirke hath the other child & his portion, who put in wth him Finloe Quirk Arislaun[?] for bounds & have bound ymselves there heires, & executors, for yt portion of goods & to secure the office subpoena double value of the sum. 1 May 1656. Jo: Quirke hath acknowledged to have received full satisfaction for his childs part of goods expressed in the -------- the other seate from his brother Tho: Quirke. Before me, Tho: Norris Reg. Jo: Quirke yeeldestson of Jo: Quirke ------ goods are in the hands of Tho: Quirke who hath put in Wm Quirk for the forth coming of the orphants portion of goods & to secure the office, who have bound ymselves there heires & execr joyntly subpoena double ye value. ----[?--54] Tho: Quirke brother & sworne Supervisor to ye execrs upon oath saith that there is noe more due for yere part of ye crope of ----- but 1 boale of barley & 3 firletts oats. [The following copy of the will of John Quirk was inserted several pages earlier in the wills.
