40 Braddan in anno domini 1637 ye 3rd of Oct In the name of God Amen. I Jo: Quirke sicke and weak in body but whole and perfect of memorie praised bee God doe make this my will as followeth: First I commend my soule to God my maker and my body to be buried in Christian mould from whence it came. Item, I leave to ye poore at tyme usuall half a firlet of mault and 2 kissans wheate and pease at the discreation of my executors. Item, I leave a parte of my goods towards the payinge of my depts.. Item, I leave my children jointly executors of the overpluse. Item, I leave my sayd children unto the custodie and keepeinge of there mother and likewise theire goods until they come to lawfull yeeres to receive them. The Court in discrecon hath decreed the Uncles & Ants on the fathers syd Supervisors. Testes: Patricke Thompson vicar, Jo: Cosnahan reader. Probatum est et Solvit 4d. A true and perfect Inventorie of the goods of the foresaid Jo: Quirke brought in and praised by the Sumpner and other foure men sworne and appointed for that purpose viz: Tho: Fairebrother, Donnalo Callin, Tho: ---- Fayle and Gylbert Kerrett. Imprimis half a house and gardinge and other things c---- ---- in the house as half an old cupboard, half table one --ost or forme, all praised to fourtie shillings. Item, an iron pott praised to 12d: half a brass pass 9d; Item a pottle -ans, 2 piggins, and 2 earthen platters all praised to 8d; Item, half a flaxen wheele praised to ---, Item, half a chare 3d, one old bed part 8d, one fledge --, one barrel 6d, one flaxen sheet priced 3s; Item, half a feather bed & boulster priced 3s 6d, half a churne & half a tub 7-; Item one weight and a sieve 2d; Item, a rakantree and, pothookes priced 3d; Item, half an old cow praysed 6s; Item, half an heifer of 2 yeares old praised to 10s, half a tub and half firkin praised to 3d.
