Archdeacon Will 1637 #154 Maughold of John Cowle, died 5 May 1637: 

The testament of John Cowle wch depted the 5 of May 1637.  
He bequethed his soul into the hands of allmightie God 
and his bodie to Christian buriall. 
He left to his father 4s of the money wch is in the hands of 
Edmond Corkill. It, to John Cowle 6d, to Pat Cowle -d-st, 
to John Cowle 6d. It, he bequethed to Mally Callow 9s of 
the money wch is in the hands of Fardinando Fox. 
It, he constituted and ordained his brothen Wm Cowle his true 
and lawfull execut of all his goods movable and unmovable.

Robt Corkill, iurati.    Probatum est et Solvit 1s.
