The testament of Danald Costeten [or Costehen] wch dept the 2 day of Jun [original 'July' seems to have been overwritten with 'Jun'] 1637. He bequeathed his soule into the hands of almightie God and his bodie to Christian buriall. He bequeathed to John Cann---[edge of paper, dark and torn] 12d. It, he bequeathed to his father the one halfe of his pt of the crop of corne due to him by the death of his mother. It, he constituted and ordained his wyfe Christian Wright his true and lawfull executr of all his goods movable and unmovable. Wheras there is a child the Court wth the consent of the mother hath made the child execr alwayes provided yf the Child did die that this will shall stand viz the wiffe execr. Testes: John Costen, Wm Cottingam, jurati. Probatum est et Solvit 6d. Invent half a cow, a boule of barley, a sheep & a haulf, a lambe & a haulf, half a hog, haulf a paire of netts, half a paire of loomes, 4 yeards & a haulf of whit pan[?] cloath, certaine hemp, a blankett. Pledges Wm Cottiman et Ye exec, who is at lawfull yeares hath bound themselves for ye forth coming of these goods to wm: they are due & to secure the office subpoena the valew, ad usu Domi:
