In the name of God Amen. I John Fayle ame sick
in bodie but wholl in mind do make my last wyll
& testament in manner Following First I bequeath
my soule into the hands of allmightie God who
Created & redeemed me And my bodie to Christian buriall.
It, I bequeath to the poore 1 ferlet malt,
iij quarts wheat, 1 gallaime[?] oate mealle and 1 sheep.
It, I do constitut & ordaine Wyllm my sonne my true
& lawfull execr And if he die before he come to years
of discretion then my will is that my wyffe and my
brother Pattr Fayle shal be his execr. He was asked
by his wyffe what ought then do wth the grommi[?],
he sayd, where it ought to be. Inasmuch as the brother
is under yeares the grandfather is sworne Supervisor
wth the mother who hath the tuicon of the child &
his goods left by the testator as wittnesses hath deposed.
A true Inventorie of the goods of John Fayle prayst as followeth

It, 1 oxe ten yeres ol, ----ther 9 yeres old,
1 heffer iiij yeres old, 1 ox iiij yeres old,
1 cow seven yeres old, And 1 cow 8 yeres old,
all prayst to five pounds,
ij ptes of a boore bige --- little saete,
1 goose and two pte of the one half of another goose ij s,
the forth pte of the crop of corne of a quarter
of ground, and two dayes moth for ----.
Tho: McTeare et Wm Freere hath bound ymselves,
their heires & executors for ye forth coming of
ys Inventory & to secur ye office sub poena double valew.
Note yt half ye Inventory is in ye hands of ye
