The last will and testamt of Henry Cowley who depted this liffe 
the 14th of December 1641. First he comitted his soule unto God 
& his bodie to Christian buriall. It, he left to the poore a fer: 
malt & the rest according to his execurs discrecon. It, he left 
unto Mrgrett Cowley his daughter all be--a-- the s---- doort[?] 
and she to pay 6s to Ellin Stoal & to give him a winding sheett.   
It, he left due unto Willm Quaile execs 5s. It, he left due unto 
the Willm Clerke 4s.   ---- his children vid Nicholas & Margrett 
Cowley have relinquished[?] the execr in ye face of ye Court & 
delivered up the title & right to ye sd Deceadents goods by a 
straw, And Gu[bbon hidden in fold] Cowley hath taken on him ye 
execr: & to pay all debts according to Law as ----[in fold] 
as ye ---d- will extend & taken his oath in Court to performe ye ----[in fold] 
& alsoe to bringe in a true Invent wthn 14 dayes &.

James Crayne, jurati.     Probatum est & Solvit 6d.       
Salvo tamen vincuing suo jure.                   

The 27th of January 1641: 
Wm Cayne entereth his clayme against ye execr of ------ for 1s 9d 
& craveth triall accordinge to law.
