Archdeacon Will 1642 #10 Malew of Hugh Arthur, dated 24 October 1642: 

Malue, October 24th 1642 
The last will and testament of Hugh Arthur 
who first committed his soule to ye Allmightie 
& his bodie to Xstian burial.   
Item: he bequeathed to ye poore a fer mault, 
half fer wheet, & som oat meale, a mutton and 2 geese.   
Itt: he bequeathed his wife halfe an in-calfe 
cow wch is wth John Quayle.  
It: to his siter att Peele a quarter of ye cow 
that is in her owne keepinge, & thother quarter 
to be returned to his sons Hugh & Phillip.   
Itt: he bequeathed to his son Giles ye crop of 
corne giveinge to his sons Nicholas & Hugh a 
boule off high corne apeece towards there mariage.  
It: he bequeathed to Giles his best lowmes & a 
woolen & lynyne geere.   
It, he bequeathed another pair of lowmes to Nicholas.   
Itt: to Giles he beqeuathed all the lands & 
intackes, giving to Nicholas yf he lived in ye 
parish annually 2 dayes pullinge off turffe upon 
the intakes.   
Itt: he bequeated to Sr Thomas Parre a younge mutton.   
Itt, he willed that his wiffe should have the 
goods of ye youngest son (vid Phill:) & hymselfe 
dureinge her natural life.   
Itt: he constituted & appointed his sons Giles, 
Nicholas, Hugh, & Phillip his lawfull executors 
off all the rest of his goods moveable & unmoveable.

The Inventorie of ye goods of ye aforesaid Hugh vewed 
& priced by sufficient sworne men vid: Tho: Bell, 
Finloe Taggyart, John Quayle & Gilb Quayle:
Imprimis a heffer and a qter      20s
Itt: a cow and half a cow         24s
Itt: a s---ie                      3s 4d
Itt: six goats & 2 kides          10s
Itt: 5 sheepe and 2 yerlings       7s
Itt: an hecst[?] 20tie yeeres ---- 5s
