The 18th February anno Domini 1640
I, Jo: Madrell sicke in bodie but whole in mynd
praysed bee God, doe make my last will & testament
in manner & form followinge.
First I committ my soule to the almightie, and
my bodie to Christian buriall.
To ye poore att ye usuall tyme one boule malt,
one ferlot wheate, & one mutton.
To my son Jo: one qter steere & ye rest of ye sd
steere, I leave betwixt --- Hen Harries children
Alsoe, to my sone Jo: two kishan wheate, to my
daughter Jony a yonge sheepe wch is in Thomas
Cubbon costodie.
To my grandchildren Wm Cubbons children two ewes.
To my daughter Margarett one sheepe.
To ye vicr a mutton.
To Robt I leave a goose.
The rest of all my goods moveable & unmoveable, I
leave to my sone Harie Madrell, & to pay all
charges belonge of my ffunerall, he beeinge my
lawfull Executor.
