The last will & testament of Kaithren Garratt who 
departed this life the 10th of februarie 1642.   
first she bequeathed her soule to god and her 
bodie to Christian buriall.   
It, she left to her stept daughter Bessie Shimin 
1 coat 1 charcher [i.e., kerchief]. It, she left to her 
husband hald cow 1 sheep. It, she left to her 
daughters Ellin and Kaithren Shimin 1 blanket 
1 cow 1 canvaish 1 coat and her part of the houshold 
stuffe, and left her husband and her daughters viz 
Ellin and Kaithren Shimin her true & lawfull execr of 
all her goods moveable and unmoveable.
