Bryde, 1647
An dei nomine, Amen. The last will and testament
of Donald Howlaine. First he committed his soule
into the hand’s of Almighty God, & his body to
Christian burial.
It., to his children Jony, Anne, & Richard 6d legacy apiece.
It, to his wyfe all his lands during her lyfe
conditionally that she xxxx her part of the
lands unto my son Wm: after her decease.
It he constituted and ordained his sonne Wm:
executor of all the rest of his goods moveable
& immoveable, & he to give to each of the sd
children a firlett of barlie apiece when he is
able to pay it.
It, his will was that if his sd son Wm: would
either set or sell his lands, that he should
have but 6d legacy of the lands to return to
his son Richard.
It, he sd that he owed John Cormod 8s, & that
the sd Cormod was to give him for his goods
xxxxxx 1 firlet barlie & 3 half firlets rye.

A true & perfect Inventory of the goods of
Donald Howlaine &c:
It, the two parts of a cow, 2 parts of
a heifer, & 2 parts of a steer 40s
It, 2 yards of a woolen noeb[?] 2s;
it, 2 parts of a swine 20d;
It, 1 pound of flax & 1 slipping of yarn 14d;
It, 1 tub 6d,
Itm, in barley & peas half firlet 2s;
It, debts due from the sd Testator sum[?] 47s 4d.

Richard Howland is whose hands the goods are
have this day engaged himself to discharge the
children and free the above said pledge
