John Jane, 1656

Jo: Jane departed this life about the 20th June 
1656 who bequeathed his soule to God and his bodye 
to Chritian burial. He left half a heifer of a year 
and a half old to his daughter Bahee Jeane.  
He ordained his 2 children viz Jo: & Bahee Geane 
his lawful exec.  

The Court has ordained the next of kin viz Roger Geane 
supervisor.

In Regard This will agreeth with the Laws of this Isle 
cum consense plia Probat et Solvit.        
Invent proved by Tho: Quayle, Jo: Christian, Do: Cleark, 
and Tho: Ratcliffe Sumner Amounts in the whole to the 
sd children  free and debtless to the just sum of  
xx[hidden in fold], besides 6 sheep wch is due to 
the boy menconed in the will all these goods in the 
mothers possession who hath putt in pledges Roger 
Geane aforsd and Ewan Killip of KK Christ Lez Aire
