23      KK Andreas the 17th of September 1657
The last will and testament of Jonie Lace who 
departed this life the day and year abovesd.  
First she committed her soule to God and her 
bodie to Christian burial.  
Itm, she bequeathed to the poore at the time 
usual a firlett malt & a firlet of meale.  
Itm, she bequeathed to her father and to the 
children of her stpemother the third parte of 
her quarter of the crop of corn and the other 
two parts to her husband.  
It, she bequeathed to Mlie Doughtertie twentie 
bundell of flax and a smock and a waiscote.  
Also bequeathed to the wife of Balneleaine a 
petticote, and a quarte of woole to her fathers 
brothers children.  
Itm, she bequeathed to her husband her turfe 
for six or seven yeares in the Reast of the 
rough quarter, and also left and bequeathed the 
ground to Issabell her sister and the rest of 
the grounds.  
It, she constituted and appointed her husband 
William Doughertie her true and lawful executor 
of all the rest of her goods moveable and unmoveable.

The husband is sworn .... executor.      
The executor hath taken his oath that there is 
no goods to be inventoried but 2 parts of the 
corp the 4th part of a quarter of ground.
