The last will and testament of Jony Lewen who 
depted this life ye 24th of februarye 1658     
first shee committed her soule to God and her 
bodye to Christian burial;   
It: to ye poore at ye usual tyme at ye discrecon 
of my grandchild Phillip Cannell for corne and 
the flesh and other thinges ye executors are 
to make good;    
It: to her sonne William Cannell Junior his choice 
of three beasts, that is to say two heffers and a 
cowe his choice of these three.   
It: to her saide sonne William Cannell 1 fether 
bed one fledge, one blanket of white sixe yards 
of gray raw cloth, one choice shete, three yards 
of white wollen cloath, halfe of all her shar[?] 
and ye other halfe to her grandchild Phillip Cannell 
Patricke Cannell and her daughter in law Jane Crayne;   
It: to her sonne Willm Cannell 2 sheep as legacie.   
It: to her sd sonne William Cannell one jerkin and 
an earthen mugg;   
It: to her sd sonne William Cannell and her grandchilden 
Patricke Cannell all ye wooll yt was then in ye house;   
It: to her grandchilde Phillip Cannell one pewter 
dish 1 pewter guart;   
It: to ye sd Phillip Cannell one coverlet yt was 
on her owne bed;   
It: to her sd grandchild Phillip Cannell her pte 
of ye wodden vessels wch was then in ye house;   
It: to ye sd Phillip a white blanket;   
It: to her sonne Thomas Cannell 2 gray blankets;   
It: to ye sd Tho: Cannell 1 sheete;   
It: to Margarett Cordeige one greene waiskote one 
little wheele and one charchechiefe;   
It: to her daughter Bahee Cannell one fledge, 
her choyvce of two apornes;   
It: to her daughter Margerett Cannell 1 sheete, 
1 red peticoate, 1 cloake and 1 charchiefe;   
It: to her grandchild Margaret Quaile one handcharchieffe;   
It: to her sonne William Cannell of Tromoade 1 sheete 
and silver spoone;   
It: to Mallie Quaile 1 red peticoate;   
It: to Phillip and Patricke Cannell one beehive, 
and if it increade they are to give her sonne Charles 
a swarm of ye sd hive.;   
It: to her grandchildren Patrick and William Cannell one heffer;   
It: to William Cannell one broode goose;   
It: to Mallie Cotter one handcherchiefe;   
It: to her grandchild Patricke Cannell 1 sheepe;   
It: to Richard Cannell one hand charchiefe;   
It: to Mallie Lewen one peticoat;   
It: to Joney Fargher one gray peticoate;   
It: to her sister Katherine Lewne 1 gray blanket;   
It: to Margerie Killip one waiscoate;   
It: to Katherin Quaile one flaxen apron;    
It: to Margaret Cannell one charchchiefe;   
It: to Jane Craine and Patricke Cannell 
one broade goose;   
It: shee constituted and ordained her two 
sonnes William and Tho: Cannell her true and 
lawfull Executors of all ye rest of her goods
moveable and unmoveable whatsoever and to 
be at ye funeral expences;   
It: to Phillip Cannell --[?’x] ye rest of 
ye child halfe a cobard and ye recinge betwixt 
them and mee in money.

16 June 1659: 
The execr sworne.  Probat et Solvit 1s.

The inventorie of ye Testatrix Amountts to the 
sume of    2 pounds : 4 shillings. 
The execr at age.  
Pledge Jo: Cannelel seconda forman legis.

13 Febr 1659: 
Bahe Curthy entereth her claime agst ye execr 
of Jony Lewne for a pte of her executorship.

2 June 1660: 
Jo: Cannell entereth his claime agst ye esecr 
of Jony Lewen for 5s & craveth ye Law
