Bride March 8th 1662 I Donold Lace sicke in body but whole in mynde perfect memory (praised bee god) doe make my last will and testament as followeth Imprimus I comitte my soule to god and my body to christian buriall Item I leave to the poore to be given at hallowtide iii firlets of corne the rest at the supervisors of his childrens discretion Item Hee left legasye to his wife, his part of a heifer Item To the parson Harisson a mutton Item To his brother Thomas his best apparell & cloake Item To William Christian his brother in law & Thomas Lace his owne brother xii d, a peece Item To his brother Gilbert Lace his hatt & shoes Item Hee constituted and ordayned his son William Lace his sole executor and hee to give unto his eldest daughter Ales Lace 15 L portion & to his youngest daughter Jony Lace X L, and if it please to god ......... call for either of his two daughters before they come to lawful years then his said son is to give xx L to the survivor for her portion & hee to have his whole estate with all goods moveable & unmoveable Last he appointed supervisors of his children William Christian his brother in law & Thomas Lace his brother & to see all things in this his will performed accordingly.
