The last will and testament of John Bridson Senr Aristle who comitted
his soul to god and his body to Xrtian buriall It bequeathed for the poore
a ferlett malt & half ferlett wheate, It he bequeathed to his gran=
=child John Bridson all his right, interest, p[ro]priety in and unto all the
land they now possest; of what kind or nature soever with his right of
the geare cropp of corne and all things, implments and geares to the
same belonginge; with all his vessels of the house & barrells, ffirkins
and the rest with all other necessary implements & all other things ____
house ( excepting the clothes hereafter mentioned) with his sword chest
and a fether bed and boulster, the chaire and formes, alsoe sayd that he
would not have any to come in to trouble his sd granchild John Bridsonn
for anything that he hath belonging unto him that is not here mentioned
Itt: he bequeathed to his daughter in law Catherine Bridson als Shimine a
new sledge It to Christo: Bridson in Ireland a sledge next to the best
Itt: to Ellin Bridson his granchild a sheepe and she to give to Catherine
Bridson daughter to Tho: two yardes of lynyne cloath It to his gran=
=child Tho: Bridson a sheepe It to his granchild Henry Bridson a sheepe
Itt to Sr Tho: Parre a mutton . To his son Tho: Bridson all his
wearing cloathes and his hatt, It 3s that is in the hands of Daniell
Caneene he bequeathed the same to John Bridson son to Tho: and his sd
father to take it up for his land loan, Itt bequeathed to Robt Quay
& wife a sheepe & lambe It there is halfe the ox that he hath in the
____ that he leaves or bequeathes to the Executors and the work of it to
his granchild Jo: Bridson till May or untill that may _______ be done
It he wills that the corne bequeathed for his funerall is out of the cropp
and not from the Ex[cu]tors John: Norris of [Croftage] his wife an auld blan =
=kett It he bequeathes a blankett and a covelett to be left in the house for
the use thereof. He constituted ordained & appointed his sons Christo:
Tho : and William Bridson his lawfull Executors and sd after that they
had noe more to be Executors of butt the cattle and bequeathed to his
Son William Bridson a sledge above the other two Executors
[a]fter this above said will was made the testator being
[to]ld that Tho: his son spake of som debts to be due from Tho Parre Vic
