In the name of God, Amen.  This is affirmed to be the last [will and]
testament of Joh: Ratcliff ...... he committed his soul [to God]
& his body to Christian buryall.  Item, & being in .....
bequeathed all his lands to his son John Ratcliffe except [the]
croft below, which he left to his wife as long as she .........
after her death to his said son, & in case his said son die before
he come to lawful years, then his will was that it should .... 
his second son, & soe from child to child.  Item, he constituted
 & ordained his other children Tho:, Margt., & the child on [his wife's]
bearinge if it lives, joint Executors of all the rest of
his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever & further he
willed his said son & lands to Thomas Ratcliffe his brother; whom he
appointed supervisor of his children, till the said foure come to yeares

This day Thomas Rattliff at lawful age hath received from James Rattliff his overseer
all yt is due to him by his fathers death and clears the pledges, Coraman[?] Jon Christian RS[?]
Note yt there was a little fleece priced to 1s which in conscious is left over 
to make the poore children shirts, they having none to weare at present.

Due to each child being [3] in number 14s 8d
Margt Ratcliffe being at lawful years came this day & received from James Ratcliff ...
14s 8d being all yt her part of goods owing to, & cleares the pledges December 27th 16..

I the said Margt have also received the childs pt of goods 
due to ther brother James ratcliffe being 14s 8d & discharges
