The last will and testament of Patrick Caine who departed this life 17
January 1681.
He committed his soul to God and his body to a Christian burial.
Item: To his son William Caine ye whole crop of corn with all the husbandry
gears belonging to ye working of the land.
Item: He bequeathed to his daughter Ann ye clothes which was formerly left
to Mrs Kellie for ye space of 12 years, from Michael ------
Item: To ye daughter Averick ---- as legacy.
Item: to his son Pattrick and his daughter Kathrine a heifer betwixt them.
Item: To his son Patrick -----.
He constituted and appointed his son William and his daughter Ann Caine his
sole and lawful executors of all ye goods. The executors are at age and are
sworn in Court in form of Law.
William Crow, husband of Averick Cain doth acknowledge receipt of all goods
left to them by the decease of his father in law Patrick Cain. November 30,
1682. William Cain hath given his full consent in Court that the lands left
to his sister shall continue as left.
NOTE: The last will and testament of Patrick Caine listed only Averick, Wm, Cath,
Patt and he must have meant Alice although will states in several place An -
no An listed in parish records? Archdeacon Will Jurby 1681 Film #106204 is
very hard to read.
