The last will and testament of Malony Cotteene who departed this life ye
5th of Aprill 1682. First he committed his Soule to God and his body to
Christian burial. Item. He left to his 4 children viz Wm [Senior and Wm]
[Junior] Ellin and Christian Cotteene one cow and one [barrell?] Ittm:
He left to his 2 sons James & Phill Cotteene all his ……...
Itt: He left to his 2 grandchildren viz Gilbt: and Ann Cotteene
one maire. Itt: He left to his Daughter in Law one barrell and one goat
viz Margrett Hanton
Ittm: He left half a cow to ye debts due to Carrions Children [??}
Moreover his son James Cotteene aforesaid asked (at ye will makeing)
who do you leave and nominate Executor. The deceadent
replyed and said to his said son yourself [I leave] Executor
by reason you faird better than ye rest of ye children did.
