In the name of God Amen.  I Wm Cowley being sick in body, but of good and
perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same do make this my last
will and testament  manner and form  as followeth:
First I commit my soul into  the hands of Almighty God who made me, hopeing
for salvation through his merits and passion and my body to christian
burial.
Secondly I bequeath one sheep and one half firlett of meal to be distributed
to the poor.
Item I leave two muttons towards the payment of the spiritual dues. Item to
my son Jo: my heir my share of the crop of corn together with my part of the
team, with all husbandry gears belonging unto the farm.
Item to my said son John one filly.  Item I leave unto my kinsman Jo:Cowley
and Jony my sister to be overseers of my children.
Lastly I ordain and constitute my daughters Margaret and Jony and Pat my son
my lawfull executors of all my goods moveable and immovable in presence of
these witnesses the day and year above written.
Witnesses:  Jo:Cowley my mark X, Edw:Sayler My mark X.
Margaret and Jony are sworn in Court according to Law and to be fair to ye
other executors and also William and James Sayle.
The inventory  of ye goods of William Cowley and Jony Sayle his wife by four
sworn men viz John Cain, John Cowley, Gilbert Cain and Edward Sayler.
