This is affirmed to be ye last will of James Ratcliff who was buried
ye 11th of Decembr 1689.
First he comended his soul to God & body to Xtian buryall
It he left to his three children vizt Jon Thomas & Ellin all his part of
the goods that fell to him by Thomas Kindreds death, after the debts would
be discharged out of t.. same to witt, Kindreds debts. and left to his son in law
John Callister his pt of a Cow, of the potts, & fivs? & wrights there and he to pay
the legacy made to Kindreds wife.
It to his daughter in law Jane Tear betwixt herself & daughter a sheep legacy.
It to his son John the Land called the reast? wch he had in mortgage from Jon Kneal
to work on the half for this year, and afterwards to have a quarter of it.
It to ye witnesses 6 a peise and to Mary Brew a pound of wool legacy.
& lastly constituted his loving wife Ellin Kinread & his son Tho: Rattcliff
sole Execrs of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable.
The Execrs at age are sworn in form
