In the name of God amen. I Margrett Stanley alias 
Walten being weak and feeble, yet of sound and perfect 
memory praised be the Almighty God for the same, 
first I bequeath my soul to God and my body to 
Christian burial, to be interred in the Church of 
KK Arbory in my husband’s grave or as near it as 
is convenient. Item, I bequeath a legacy to my 
daughter Elsabeth Thompson alias Gawne & Stanley 
twelve pence legacy to cut her off from troubling 
my Executors. I leave and bequeath to my daughter 
Margrett twelve pence legacy to cut her off from 
troubling my Executors. I leave and bequeath of my 
daughter Mary twenty shillings legacy, to cut her 
off from troubling my Executors. As for a bill of 
five pounds which was due from my grandchild Wm Gawne, 
which formerly I promised not to trouble the said 
Wm Gawne during my natural life, and after xxx desire[?] 
to leave equally equally betwixt my son Thomas Looney 
and my grandchild John Ottwell which I leave and 
dexxxxx as formerly if it may be had to them both. 
I leave and bequeath to my son in law Mr. Richard 
Thompson ten shillings desiring he may preach my 
funeral sermon for the same. I leave and bequeath 
to my grandchild Mr. John Stanley ten shillings to 
buy him a morning ring and to cut him off forever 
troubling my Executors. Lastly, I nominate constitute 
and appoint my daughter Ann & her husband Thomas 
Looney my son in law my true and lawful Executors 
of all my goods moveable and immoveable and to witness 
the prxxxx be my last will and testament I have 
hereof xxxxxxxx my name and affixed my seal this 
24th day of February in the year of our Lord God 
one thousand six hundred and eighty and four.
