26   January 20th 1696/7, Kirk Arbory
The last will and testament of THURSTAN TILDSLEY who was weak 
in body but of perfect memory. 
Imprimis, he committed his soul to God and body to Christian burial. 
Item, he left his part of the crop to his ELDEST SON WILLIAM, 
or who ever of the children comes to be heir, to be delivered 
to him at Michaelmas when he comes to enter upon the Estate, 
with half the team, and all manner of gears belonging to the 
tenement, with a couple of cows, and a couple of horses or 
mares at his own choice. 
Item, he left to his TWO YOUNGEST CHILDREN BETTY and THURSTAN 
five pound apiece above the rest. 
Item, he left five pound to the HEIR legacy. Item, he left 
seven pound to his WIFE. 
Item, he left to Deemster PARR twenty shillings. 
Item, he left to his SISTER ELIZABETH TYLDSLEY ten shillings. 
Item, he left to his SISTER BARTON (OR BARLOW) ten shillings. 
Item, he left to his BROTHER HEN: TYLDSLEY ten shillings, 
to buy him a ring. 
Item, he left to Mr. ROBINSON 5 shilling. 
Item, he left to his UNCLE & AUNT FARGHER five shillings apiece. 
Item, he left to his KINSWOMAN MARGARET OATES 5 shillings. 
Item, he left to the poor of the parish 1 bowl of barley. 
Item, he left to his KINSWOMAN ALLEY OATES in Duglas 5 shilling. 
Item, he left to the DEEMSTERS 2 DAUGHTERS to wit ANNE and 
ISABEL PARR 5 shilling apiece. 
Item, he declared 4 sheep and 4 lambs to be his DAUGHTER 
ANN[?OR ALICE] own proper goods. 
Item, he left to his FIVE CHILDREN to wit NELLY, ROBERT, 
AYMEE, BETTY, AND THURSTAN of all the rest of his goods moveable 
and immoveable, and named and appointed Deemster PARR and 
the MOTHER overseers during their minority.

CODICIL: Item, he declared in the morrow after and left to his ELDEST SON WILLIAM TYLDSLEY eight sheep and eight lambs, acknowledged before his wife and myself, as witness Sam: Robinson.

THE EXECUTORS BEING UNDER AGE the MOTHER is sworn in Court 
supervisor according to the will, and the ELDEST SON to be xxxxx.

JULY 1ST 1697
JOHN CUBON & HEN: WATERSON, GEORGE HARRISON enters against 
the Executors of MR. THURSTON TILDSLEY for the sum of 40 
shillings due. They are satisfied with 20 shillings 
whereupon the Executors are acquitted of the same forever.

JULY 10, 1697
KATH: CALOW enter her claim against the Executors of 
Mr. TYLDESLEY for the sum of five shillings due &c.

JULY 1ST 1697
RICH HINGLEY enters his claim against the Executor of 
Mr. THURSTAN TYDSLEY for the sum of 3 shilling 6 pence, 
and Court fees due &c. DIE ET ANNO PREDICT

JOHN COSTEEN enters against the said Executor for 11 shillings 8 pence due &c.

JULY THE 1ST 1699
WILLIAM QUALTROUGH enters his claim against the Executor 
of Mr. TYLDSLEY for 3 pounds 14 shillins and a parcel of xxxx xxxx due &c.

sum of forty two shillings due to me by book debt in the xxxx 
of his pedice Mr. THURSTAN TYLDSLEY to wit I paid in cash the 
xxx of fourteen shillings to xxxx the like value of fifty 
shillings received by me from Mr. ROWLAND BROWN for the use 
of his wife and Executor of the above Mr. TYLDESLEY as witness 
my hand the xxxx 25th of April 1698. 
I say received by DAVID MURREY. (2 pound 16 shilling 0 pence)

MEMORANDUM, APRIL 23RD, 1700
THE INVENTORY OR MR. TYLDESLTY being the summed up
