33    Bride
This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of 
ISABLE COTTER ALS HOWLAN who departed this life the 23d 
of February 1696/7. 
First, she committed her soul unto God and her body 
to Christian burial. 
It. She declared that she owed twenty shillings to her 
SON IN LAW RICHARD CHRISTIAN in lieu of which she left 
him her part half of all the cattle. 
It. She left to her DAUGHTER all her clothes linen and 
woolen, excepting a kerchief which she left to her 
DAUGHTER IN LAW JONY HOWLAN. 
It. She left to her said DAUGHTER IN LAW a pound of flax. 
It. She left to her GRANDCHILD MALLY CHRISTIAN a little wheel. 
It. she declared that she owed to MICHEL CASTILL three shillings. 
It. She left to her SON WILLIAM HOWLAN all the rest of 
her goods moveable and unmoveable, excepting what she 
had before made over to her SON IN LAW in his contraction Bargain.

Catherine Cowle. 

THE EXECUTOR VIZT., HER SON WILLIAM and her SON IN LAW 
RICHD CHRISTIAN are sworn in Court according to ye will 
and Contract Bargain. 
The Inventory given in by the sum amount to 00 pound 13 shilling 05 pence. 
Pledges according to Law John Cormode & Stephen Howlan
