This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of 
MARGARET HALSALL ALS QUIRK who departed this life the 
24th of December 1697; being in perfect mind and memory 
at the making thereof. 
First, she committed her soul to God and her body to 
Christian burial. 
Item, she left to her DAUGHTER COONEY a cow, heifer 
of a year old, a blanket, a sheet, a canvas, a sheep, 
and a churn. 
Item, to her DAUGHTER KATH: an holy day waistcoat, 
and a kerchief. 
Item, she left to her HUSBAND her part of the land 
and crop of corn, with all the gears and instruments 
belonging to the working of the same, during his natural 
life if he pleased to keep them; And he to leave her 
said part of the said land, crop and gears, to either 
of his SONS WILLIAM OR SILVESTER whether of them he 
best liketh, which said son is to enjoy no part of 
the rest of her goods. 
Lastly, she constituted and appointed all her CHILDREN 
except KATH: who is married and the SON who is to enjoy 
the land and crop, joint and lawful Executors of all 
the rest of her goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever; 
willing and requiring her SON that should enjoy the 
lands to give her BLIND SON RICHARD lodging and all 
other necessaries, to what he could make shift for 
himself, during his natural life, and to be careful 
of him.

John Quirk. 

RICHARD AND JOHN TWO OF THE EXECUTORS are sworn in 
Court in form of Law, and to be true to the other 
Executor. 

The Inventory taken according to Law amounts to 3 pounds 4 shillings 0 pence.
