In the name of God Amen.  I THOMAS QUIRK 
sick in body but of good and perfect memory [thanks] 
be my God, do make this my last will in form 
and manner as followeth.  I leave to the poor 
half a firlet of oat meal to be given to them 
upon the xxxxx of my burial.  
Item, I leave to my SON IN LAW ROBERT KNEEN 
my part of the crop of corn and my part of 
the gears of the farm that belongeth to husbandry.  
Item, I leave to my SON IN LAW JOHN VINCH 
the sheep that I have in the How about 5.  
Item, I do appoint that my SON JOHN QURIK 
be as overseer over his MOTHER and to make 
sale of what goods is to be sold to pay 
all debts and that his said SON JOHN 
QUIRKE shall have his part of what sheep 
he has in Sleaue Whellen before any other 
upon a reasonable rate as himself and 
MOTHER can agree.  
Item, I leave to my GRANDSONS ROBERT AND 
CHARLES MOORE two young sheep.  
Item, I leave to my GRANDDAUGHTER KATHERINE 
MOORE a young sheep.  
Item, I leave to my two GRANDCHILDREN 
PHILIP AND JOHN QUIRK two young sheep that 
is in their own keeping.  
Item, I leave to my GRANDSON JOHN VINCH 
a young sheep.  
Item, I leave to my WIFE a quarter of 
the miln and the xxxx of my other part 
of the milne to my SON IN LAW ROBERT MOORE 
that is to say half a quarter.  
Item, I leave to my WIFE two day mothes 
of hay and one day moth to my SON IN LAW 
ROBERT MOORE.  
Item, I leave that my SON IN LAW ROBERT 
MOORE have half of the 3 day mothes of 
hay that Mr. DAVID MOREY hath and a 
quarter of the said 3 day mothes to my WIFE.  
Item, I do constitute and ordain my loving 
WIFE ELLINOR QUIRKE ALIAS WATERSON to be 
my true and lawful executrix of all the 
rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable 
whatsoever, she paying all debts out of 
the whole and remainder of his part of 
the goods to return to xxx xxxx of their 
children after the death of the said 
ELLINOR HIS WIFE.

THE WITNESSES DO DECLARE upon oaths 
that it was the last item[?] will[?or Willm] xxxxxx should have only a quarter of 
 lands, gardens and xxxx xxxxx SON 
 IN LAW ROBT MOORE.

 THE EXECUTRIX SWORN in form of Law.  
 pledges to secure the office, pay 
 all debts and legacies, and to fulfill 
 the will are the SONS JOHN & 
 PHILIP QURIK in form of Law.             
 
 APRIL 17TH 1701
 THIS WILL WAS then proved in presence 
 of xx SONS the pledges and the SONS 
 IN LAW ROBERT MOORE AND JOHN VINCH.  
 
 The Executrix hath acknowledged that 
 she hath sold the Dead's part of the 
 sheep in Sleugwellan to her SON JOHN 
 QUIRK according to her husband's will
