37    Bride
Be it known unto all men by these Presents, 
I NICHOLAS MOORE of the Parish of KK Bride 
being worn with age and other natural 
infirmities diverse cause me thereunto move; 
but more especially out of natural love 
and affection I bear to my SON EWAN MOORE 
my only support in this my declining condition, 
do hereby give grant and resign to him my 
said son at my decease all what interest 
title or right I have or may have to all 
houses lands tenements goods or chattels 
of what kind or xxx soever within the Isle 
except the Lands of Ballavate which I 
think does of right belong to my SON NICHOLAS 
and such of my goods as I shall hereafter 
dispose of in my last will if I make any, 
he the said EWAN paying all my lawful 
debts after my death and living with and 
supporting me as he shall be able during 
my natural life. And to the performance 
of I bind myself my Executors or assigns 
in the penalty of 20 pounds on the nature 
of all fines and to acknowledge this to 
be my voluntary act and deed I have 
hereunto subscribed my name this 7th day 
of November 1699.

18TH JULY 1700: EWAN CHRISTIAN one of 
the witnesses hath deposed that NICHOLAS 
MOORE owned the premises before him to 
be his voluntary act and deed, and 
this before me, Dan: McYlrea.        

29TH MAY 1703:  EWAN CALEY the other 
witness of the premises hath deposed 
the same to be the act and deed of 
NICHOLAS MOORE as he acknowledge before 
him and this before me, Dan: McYlrea.   

This is a true copy of the original, 
examined by me at the xxxxxxx.          

THE WITHIN DEED OF GIFT being proved 
before the Deemster, the same is accepted 
of for the last will of NICHOLAS MOORE, 
and the SON EWAN is accordingly sworn in 
Court in form of Law.  
Pledges to secure the office and pay 
all debts according to Law, Thomas Killip 
and John Crebbin.        

24TH APRIL 1704: EWAN CURGHEY enters 
against the Executor of NICHOLAS MOORE for 8s 7p.  
Item, he enters also against the said Executor for 14s 2p.       

OCTOBER 11TH, 1745: 
THE ORIGINAL was delivered to the Temporal 
Record by the annexed order of the Arch.Deacon. 
Whereof this is a true copy. 
It a Testor, Rob:Radclife, Ar:Reg.         

TO THE REVD MR JO: KIPPAX, 
Archdeacon of Sodor & Man, 
The humble petition of CHA:MOORE 
of KK Bride, 
Shewing 
that your petitioner has met with 
a great deal of trouble and disappointment 
in this Temporal Court for want of xxxx 
of gift given y NICHOLAS MOORE to 
his SON EWAN, THE PETITIONER'S FATHER, 
as the Revd Mr. Moore, Vicar General 
may justify, the said give being recorded 
in your Registry.  
Your Petitioner humbly pray that you 
may please to direct your Register to 
deliver the same to your Petitioner 
in order to have his name entered for 
a certain parish[?] of Land which 
cannot be effected any other way, 
so that he pray, &c.   

THE PETITIONER has provided a copy in 
Court several times before, but would 
not do without the original, of which 
when perfected the xxxx will xxxx 
himself to whom a copy to your Register.         

AUGUST YE 2ND 1745: WHEREAS NO ENTRY will 
be allowed the Petitioner on any Account 
without his first enrolling the Original 
Deed of Gift among the Temporal Records, 
After the Register's taking a copy of the 
Deed annexing it to the Petition, & 
recording both in his Registry he is hereby 
allowed to give up the Original to the 
Petitioner to get a confirmation on 
thereof in the Temporal Court that it 
may be entered upon their Records.
