30      KK Arbory, April 28th, 1706
The last will and testament of Jane Cubon alias Shimmin 
who was sick in body but of perfect memory made this her 
last will as followeth. 
Imprimis, she committed her soul to God and body 
to Christian burial. 
Item, she left to her son William Cubon a chest 
a blanket and a half a steer, and if her son William 
does make any strife with her sister Mary Shimmin 
then she cut him off with 6 pence legacy. 
Item, she declared six shillings due to her from 
her brother Nicholas Shimmin, whereof she left to 
himself two shillings and the other four to her 
brother in law Robert Gellin toward her funeral charges.
Item, she declared two shillings due to her from 
George Geylinn in Castletown, which two shillings 
she left to her said brother Nicholas Shimmin, 
and he to sue for it. 
Item, she left a waistcoat to Sill: Crellin’s wife. 
Item, she declared ten shillings due from Steen Shimmin 
which was to be paid equally betwixt her brother her 
sister Mary and herself and so much was left to her 
share she left the same to her brother in law Robert Geyllin. 
Item, she appointed and nominated her sister 
Mary Shimmin her true and lawful Executrix of all 
the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable. 
Item, she left a petticoat of 4 yards in the hands 
of Giles Cradsons wife in KK Malew. 
Witnesses: 
John Costen, 
Anne Cubbon alias Corrin. 
The Executrix sworn in Court in form of Law. 

The inventory of the decedent above mentioned 
amounts to 12 shillings 9 pence. 
Pledges, John Corteen & Wm Waterson. 

June 5, 1706: Wm Shimmin enters his claim against the Executrix 
his mother Jane Cubon als Shimin for 1 shilling 9 pence, 
and for his part of a quart of wool
