Know all men by these presents that I Willm Qualtrough of Rabey in the
parish of Kk Lonnan, in the Isle of Man, and Dorothy Qualtrough alias
Shimmin my wife divers Good Causes and Considerations us thereunto moving
But now Especially out of the Great Love and tender Effection wee have the
one to the other as man and wife and that it hath pleased God that there is
noo Issue between us thitherto: Therefore for want of the foresd Issue wee
doe Freely for the Avoiding of Further trouble that might insue after the
decease of either of us the above named Willm or Dorothy my wife make wee
the one to the other: all and every such goods Chattels and Cattles as
shall be in the possession of us: or any wise belongs or A[...ing] to us at
the death of either of us that the survivor of us shall Enjoy the whole
Effects that now is or Shall at the decease of the foremost of us be yn in
our houlding or any ways due to us by vertue of this our deed of Gift only
the above Willm and Dorothy my wife doe Leave six pence apiece to any such
of our Relations of either side as shall [..?..] make Claime to any part of
or Effects, after the decease of either of us by Consanguinity as Legasie
to Cut them off for any further Claime thereto: But if it shall lease God
that wee have Issue between us after the signing sealing and delivery
hereof that yn:; and in that Case this deed is to be [..?..] and of noe
force but the Issue to have and Enjoy the Effects of the first deceadent of
either of us: further [..?..] here should be a wrong Construction after
the decease of either of [..?..] put to this our deede touching the
Cropp of Corn and team [..?..] is therefore for the Avoiding of any such
examples declared by both of us the above parties that the survivor of us
shall have the whole Cropp of Corne and teame yt then shall bee in our
holding when a change shall Come And to Avoyd trouble: that this same may
be done Authenticke in Law to all intents and purposes: wee have to that
End delivered one English halfe Crowne piece in silver to interest one the
other in the whole of all our worldly substance after the first disceadant
of either of us And to manifest this to be our absolute and voluntary
deed of Gift each to the other Irrevocable wee have hereunto sett our hands
and seals this twenty First of February 1707/8

acknowledged the within Deed of Gift their mutual Act and Deed before me

last will of Wm Qualtrough and his wife Dorothy sworn in Court in form of
Law
