Gilbert Keay who departed this life about the [?] of August last made his Last Will and Testament in manner following. First: He committed his soul unto God and his body to Christian Burial. Item: He left to his wife Margaret Keay half an heifer and crop all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable equally [betwixt] his three children viz. Thomas Anne and Christian Keay, and if any of [his former wifes children] should sue for or claim any right to his goods to cutt them of with sixpence apiece legacy. Witnesses: Jon Thomas Radcliffe Jurati Pattrick Clark Thomas ? [about 6 words unreadable] Sworn in Court in form of Law. Probatum est & Solvit Pledges Patrick Clark and Thomas Cottier in form of Law. 4th November 1709 [Capt. Silv:] enters his claim against Executors of Gilbert Keay for a choice mutton promised him and craves tryal.
