This is affirmed to be the last Will and
testament of Henry Corkish late of Balla=
=Corkish in Trinity Rushen.

First, he committed his Soul to God, & his Body
to be bury'd in a Christian Manner.
It, He bequeathed to his grandaughter Margery
Gell 2 sheep, to her brother John Gell 1 sheep,
to his grandaughter Jony Gell in Castletown
.. sheep, to his gradaughter Margaret Waterson
.. sheep, to his son John Corkish now in England
.. sheep & lamb to be left for him upon ye estate
in case he or any of his ... came to enjoy ye
same. To his son Harry Corkish, he left 6d legacy
To Wm Quayle a mutton. Lastly he left his son
Richard Corkish sole executor of all ye rest of
his effects within & without.
He likewise declar'd that he had lodg'd wth his
daughter Margaret Gell 14 shillings in halve
of wch he bequeath'd in a legacy to her
self, & the other 7 shilling he desired to be
expended on his funeral

the Exr of her father Henry
Corkish for 20s sterl &
craves the Law.

            At Castletown 23d Octo: 1716
Mr Robt Maddrell in behalf of Jon Corkish of ye
County of Kent in ye Kingdom of England having
claimed a fourth part of ye crop & two oxen left him
by ye last will of his Grandmother Jane Taylor alias
Corkish ye half of which is loft for want of a claim
agt his mother's Exrs, and ye other half to be paid to
ye sd John or his assignes, by his father's Exrs Rich:
Corkish, (three half firlets betwixt malt, wheat
& Barley first to be taken out of ye same) who has
given pledges for ye forthcoming thereof, Stephen
Gear & Jon Waterson.
