	This is affirmed to be the last Will of 
	Catherine Farrant als Fargher who 
	being in perfect memory, committed her 
	soul to God and her body to Christian 
	Burial. It. She bequeathed to her 
	oldest son John Farrant all the bogh
	bought land (wch she also appointed 
	shall descend from him as Heirship) 
	except a small ffield of 8d Rent call’d 
	[Carri’s] Land, wch she bequeathed to her
	two Daughters Anne and Isabel Farrant 
	But if they shall dispose of yt ffold 
	the Heir is to have it for forty shill’s  
	Itm She bequeathed to her younger 
	Son Wm six pounds; to her Daughter 
	 Isabel six pounds; to her Daugh 
	ter Anne six pounds; and all her ap 
	=parel to her said 2 Daughters 
	It. She obliged her Eldest Son above said
	to pay four pounds to his Brothr Wm 
	& sister Anne, when all the lands 
	come to his possession; saving the Hous- 
	es are all newly rebuilt & some more 
	added to them. Itm She appoin= 
	ed that her loving Husband John Farrant shall 
Probm	enjoy all the Lands aforesd during 
Est	his own life. It.  She bequthd a 
Slvt 1s	pot to her daughter Isabel. And con 
	stituted her Husband above sd to be Exr of 
	all the Rest of her Goods whatsoever

	Wm Cain	neither to sell, alionate, mortgage or dis
	Edwd Cuddy	pose of the Lands beqthd to him in this Will. 
	Jo Quackin	And laid the same obligation on her
	         Jurati	Daughters, unless they would dis
			pose of it to the Heir
			
			The Exr sworn in Court & gave 
			pledges, Wm Quackin & Wm Cain

	Sepr 21 1716  Jo Ffarrant the Testatrix’s 
	Husband has consented to this Will, that 
	his Heir shall have all the bought Land
	(& the final ffield shall Descend to his two 
	Daughters above sd) after his decease, viz his 
	part as well as his wife’s; upon this con 
	dition that if he shall marry again, then 
	his wife shall have a Widow Right in his 
	bought land as well as in the other land 
	of the Heir during her natural life 
	or widowhood, to which his son has given 
	his full consent; & they have both obliged 
	themselves, their Heirs and Exrs to the punctu 
	al performance of this agreement in the penalty 
	of 60 pounds sterl in the nature of all 	
	Offices. Witness their Subscriptions the
