Catherine Quirk als Cowle departed this life 
about ye 25th Novr 1717 intestate, whereof 
ye Court having intelligence hah decreed her 
only child John Quirk her sole & lawful Admr 
of all her goods movable & immovable, who 
being a small infant, the next of kin on ye 
mothr’s side, vizt., Edmund Cowle, John Kneen, 
& John Joughin Uncles by their wifes, Ellin 
Cowle, John Cowle Senr & John Cowle junr 
are appointed Supervisors.  The both John’s 
being absent, the other four are  sworn in 
form of Law.  And a Legacy to ye Husband 
upon sight of the Inventory, who is sworn also.               
           Decretum est & Solvit 1s.

The Inventory in goods immovable amts to  1 : 11 : 03     
In goods movable                          1 : 12 : 04     
The oats prized to 3s, the principal 
corn to 6s per bowle, to be added.         

Funeral Charges, church & court Fees,

For old rent  18d.    
To Wm Tear  2s 4d;     
To Jp: Cowle  2s 2d;      
To Philip Kneal & Philip Joughin  12d;     
To ye Archdeacon  8s 7d.        
The dead’s part thereof is proportioned thus,  
out of every 12d the Execr is to pay 5d, & 
the Husband seven pence.        
The Husband’s Legacy is  00:03:00.            
The good in ye hands of the Suprs, who have given 
pledges ye one for ye other, & ye ffather Mitchel 
Cowle for his sons John Cowle junr & Senr.

Note, ye child is dead & ye goods are fallen to ye Supervisors
