This is afirmed to be ye last will and testament
of Gilbert MacLeece of KK German who departed
this life ye 19th of March 1716/7 who being at
perfect mind & memory at ye making thereof.
First he committed his soul to almighty God &
his body to Christian burial.
Itt, he declared yt that there was due to him
from Jon. Shimmin one shilling, from Tho:
Gawne 1s:4d, due to him from Mrs. Stevenson 5s:6.
Itt, he appointed his four children viz Jane,
Margret, Elinor & John MacLeece whole ex:tors
of all his goods moveable & unmoveable.
And if ye children dyed under age or without
will yt ye goods were to come to his brother
Thomas MacLeece, & six pence legacie to
any ye claimes right to his goods.
Witnesses:
Gilbert Craine my mrk,
Dorathy MycLeece my mrk, jurati.
The Exrs being under age ye mother & Uncle are
sworn in Court in form of Law.
Probatum est & Solvit 7d.
The Inventory brought in by the Sumner £ s d

The Goods & two of ye Children in ye hands of ye
uncle who has given pledges Philip Crain & Gilbert Crain.
December 3d 1724:
This day Jane McLeece one of ye Exrs of ye within
Gilbt McLeece being at lawfull years came to the
records & acknowledged herself to be paid & satisfied
at and from ye hands of her Uncle Tho: McLeece as
well for herself as for her brother & two sisters in
what was due to her & them by ye death of their
Father & does hereby acquit & discharge her sd
Uncle Excrs &c., forever of the same.
Witness her mark to her name ye year & day above written.
